Sheryl is the self-titled third studio album by American American singer and songwriter Sheryl. It was released on November 4, 2016 Columbia Records, following the release of her second successfull studio album, Let Yourself (2012). The album was described by Sheryl as her "exhaust valve"

Sheryl began writing songs for the album during her successful debut tour. Having album full creative control, herself assumed a more prominent role in the album's development, co-producing six of its tracks, collaborated with producers Andy Fletcher, Benny Blanco, Bloodshy & Avant, Steve Robson, Savan Kotechan and Shellback. Fletcher served as the album's executive producer alongside Sheryl. The album fused pop with various genres influences, including dance-popcontemporary R&B, and folk music. Its lyrics address subject matter such as emotional breakdown, personal relationships, self-improvement, and sexuality. Due to its sexually explicit content, the album reinforced her public image as a sex symbol.

The album received generally positive reviews from music critics, who commended her vocal performance and the album's production, earned Sheryl seven Grammy Award nominations, ultimately winning four, including the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Sherlyn was a massive commercial success, debuting at number one in more than 30 markets, including the United Kingdom and United States; in the US, the album sold 1.432 million copies in its first week of release, marking the largest single-week sales for an album by American artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking point-of-sale music purchases in 1991, eventually became the world's best-selling album of 2016 with 16.8 million copies sold within the year, and has sold 20 million copies as of June 2017. It was certified seven times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), denoting shipments of 7 million copies in the United States.

Six singles were released from the album. The singles from the album—"Fallin'", "Get on Your Feet", and "Heart Melted"—gained international success, topping the charts in several countries worldwide, including the United States.
